As a stay-at-home mother living in Alabama, Samantha used her joy of crafting wood signs and other home decor items to create a side business selling on Etsy and craft fairs. Life brought her to Oregon and in doing so Samantha found herself working full-time as a nurse only able to create in off-times and only for herself. Still working as a nurse Samantha had the opportunity to work part-time. This allowed her to once again return to her beloved hobby. In 2018, at the encouragement of others, Samantha snagged a storefront with potential and character that fit her idea of a shabby chic boutique. Bringing her dream to life, Samantha opened Hey Penny in downtown Junction City.
Today, Hey Penny is an adorable, cozy, boutique stocked with affordable women’s fashion, accessories, and home decor.
Starting in January 2019, Samantha has added a much needed classroom space to offer make-and-take workshops using Chalk Couture products!
